India’s natural and manmade heritage is among the richest in the world. Yet a lot of this is being lost due to weak policies and conflicting legislative interpretations. With Goa in focus, the importance of heritage mapping, the role of agents of conservation / preservation, action and citizen support thereof would be discussed during this History Hour.
Prof. Eng. Edgar Ribeiro, an Urban and Regional Planner now resettled in Goa, had in succession served as Planning Commissioner of Delhi Development Authority, Chief Planner Govt. of India, Director of the School of Planning & Architecture and Director of the Association of Municipalities & Development Authorities.
